Out of the box and strikingly sophisticated, Silestone is proud to present its newest Influencer Series, Etchings! A true collaboration between our six 2015 Silestone Trendspotters, Ink and Aquatint are two graphically inspired colors designed to fit up and coming trends in kitchen and bath.
“The etchings colors fill a need for something that feels fresh and contemporary in the marketplace, while simultaneously resonating organic, authentic, substantial, real, timeless…” – Drew McGukin
The Trendspotters, Theresa Casey, Steffany Hollingsworth, Christopher Kennedy, Denise McGaha, Drew McGukin and Cheryl Kees Clendenon spotted cast-off prototypes when visiting the Cosentino headquarters in Spain, and were inspired by their geometric design. Through a series of sessions with the Cosentino R&D team, the group developed the underlying concept into Ink and Aquatint with the goal of bringing something new to the market. Manufactured from shards of Cosentino’s ultra-compact material, Dekton, and cast in Silestone, these colors not only make old materials new, but for the first time unite the two Cosentino materials into one surface.
“The scale of this pattern is one of the unique elements in the marketplace. There are lots of very small/ fine patterns available, and then there are broad veining patterns, but not much in between, which is where this strikes a mark.” – Theresa Casey
Aquatint: A soft aqua set against shards of Dekton, perfect for bathroom and vanity applications in both residential and commercial spaces.
Ink: The luminary of the two hues, Ink embraces the growing popularity of mod design, geometry and juxtaposition, inspiring designers to play with strong visual texture.
We look forward to seeing how designers incorporate these new Influencer Series colors into innovative projects in the coming year!
“This color scheme is timeless and works with every sophisticated client for which we design. ” – Denise McGaha
