SILESTONE ANNOUNCES NATIONWIDE PARTNERSHIP WITH POGGENPOHL
October 19, 2012
Silestone by Cosentino (www.silestoneusa.com), the world leader in quartz surfacing, announces a new partnership with Poggenpohl, the oldest and best-known German kitchen brand in the world, by becoming the exclusive quartz surfacing material on display at all Poggenpohl Corporate showrooms nationwide. The alliance underscores the innovative, contemporary design aesthetic for which both brands are well known.
To kick-off the partnership, Poggenpohl’s top designers and showroom managers were recently invited to visit the Cosentino Group international headquarters in Almeria, Spain. There, they were immersed in the heritage and culture behind the family-owned company and given an exclusive look at the making of Silestone via a tour of the factory and a new product presentation from the RD+i team.
“We’re proud to have this nationwide partnership with Poggenpohl’s Corporate showrooms,” said Lorenzo Marquez, VP of Marketing for Cosentino North America. “Silestone and Poggenpohl are like-minded brands that share the same passion for superior performance and design. This natural alignment highlights Cosentino’s commitment to expanding its presence in the US market over the next few years.”
Silestone natural quartz is available in more than 75 stylish colors and three finishes, including polished; suede-leather, a honed matte look; and volcano, a uniquely textured surface. As part of the program, the two brands plan to create a special curated palette of Silestone hues that best coordinate with Poggenpohl cabinetry, streamlining the design process for kitchen designers and consumers seeking quartz for luxury kitchen projects.
“Quartz is increasingly the surface of choice for our client base of architects, designers, and design savvy consumers,” said Janine Flamer, VP Marketing & Public Relations, Poggenpohl U.S., Inc. “Silestone is a trusted brand partner producing a high performing product that perfectly complements our modern and innovative cabinetry. We look forward to extending our product offerings through this partnership and continuing to offer our customers incredible kitchen design possibilities.”
Silestone natural quartz is naturally non-porous and never needs to be sealed. It’s easy to clean and has high scratch, stain, and heat resistance. Silestone also is proven to be a cleaner and safer countertop. It offers a unique combination of built-in antimicrobial protection that safely fights the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew along with the assurance of GREENGUARD certification for clean air quality, and National Sanitation Foundation certification (NSF 51) for safe food preparation.
