This week, the moment finally came for the Silestone Trendspotters to see the first prototypes for the new Silestone color series they are designing in collaboration with the company’s product development team.
After months of initial development, head of product development and innovation, Valentin Tijeras, took the Trendspotters to a secret location at the Silestone factory, where dozens of slabs had been produced based on insight the Trendspotters previously provided during creative meetings in New York City.
Each Trendspotter had an opportunity to select a slab (or several) that showcased the color combination and pattern that resonated with their market. From there, each provided detailed feedback on the movement, pattern and coloring. Soon, the Trendspotters will see the results of this week’s meetings, further refining the slabs until the new color series launches at the industry’s biggest event, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas in January.
To celebrate, the Trendspotters ventured into the port city of Almeria for an alfresco dinner and violin concerto under the stars at the city’s historic 10 Century fortress, Alcazaba.
The trip concluded with a final night in Barcelona, where the Trendspotters filmed the next video in the Trendspotters series – which will appear on Silestonetrends.com soon! Stay tuned!
