In 2020 we launched Silestone HybriQ® where we drastically reduced the percentage of crystalline silica in its composition, creating a new product category: Mineral HybriQ® Surfaces.
Silestone is verified by prestigious laboratories such as UL or Eurofins and by international organizations such as DNV, Greenguard, NSF, or LGA Qualitest.

What is HybriQ®?
It is the technology that has enabled the reformulation of Silestone, a high-performance blend of premium minerals and recycled materials produced through a more sustainable manufacturing process, with 100% recycled water and 100% electric energy from renewable sources.
After many years of research, in 2020 Cosentino launched Silestone HybriQ® where it drastically reduced the percentage of crystalline silica in its composition, creating a new product category: Mineral HybriQ® Surfaces.
In 2022, 100% of the portfolio was produced with HybriQ® Technology, silica level was already maximum 50%.
All Silestone slabs carry the label indicating the crystalline silica content in its composition. The Q10 and Q40 markers indicate the porcentage of crystalline silica.

Selection of premium minerals
We select a mix of premium minerals with the final design in mind, achieving unseen effects, hues and finishes, while maintaining the hardness and performance of quartz, but with the low crystalline silica levels found in natural stone.

At least 20% Recycled Material
We believe in waste reuse and giving them a second life through circular economy. That is why, Silestone manufactured under HybriQ+ Technology includes at least 20% of recycled material, such as glass,in its composition.
