Cosentino Introduces Dekton® Grip+

Cosentino, the world leader in quartz, natural stone and recycled surface production, introduces Dekton® Grip+: an advanced, innovative treatment that guarantees slip-resistance on Dekton® ultra-compact flooring.

A game changer for designers and architects alike, Dekton Grip+ offers the same industry-leading technical features while providing maximum safety to residential, hospitality and commercial projects. Blending together slip-resistance innovations and solutions, Dekton® Grip+ is the best for anti-slip applications even on the most demanding of indoor and outdoor surfaces. This includes dressing rooms or community access points, terraces, surfaces in and around pools, showers, spas and more.

Grip+ is introduced before the particle sintering process, an innovative ultra-compaction process during manufacturing, making it is part of the surface’s molecular structure. With this process in place, Dekton® Grip+ classifies as R11 under regulation DIN 51130, the German-developed pedestrian slip test, and meets the Class 3 regulation, meeting the most restrictive international regulations.

“At Cosentino, our R+D team is committed to creating materials that offer the very best in beauty, durability and safety,” says Massimo Ballucchi, Director of Marketing for Cosentino North America. “Combining maximum safety with industry-leading features, Dekton® Grip+ does just that.”

Dekton Grip+ is currently offered on four colorways (below, left to right): Keon, Orix, Soke and Vera; and will be gradually incorporated into additional Dekton colorways throughout 2019.

Created from a sophisticated blend of raw materials from glass, quartz and porcelain, Dekton has a high resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock. Cleaned with a damp cloth and no sealing required, its ease of care is unrivaled.

About Dekton® by Cosentino

Dekton® by Cosentino is a revolutionary and innovative ultracompact surface for the world of architecture and design. It is a sophisticated mixture of the raw materials used to make glass, next-generation porcelain surfaces and quartz surfaces. It is made with exclusive Sinterized Particle Technology (TSP), which is an innovative ultra-compaction process.

It boasts superior technical properties, such as resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, and very low water absorption. Dekton® is able to recreate any type of material with a high level of quality. It is manufactured in large-format slabs (up to 320 cm x 144 cm) in five different thicknesses (0.4cm, 0.8 cm, 1.2 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm).
