Classic & Modern

The acclaimed interior designer, Brian Gluckstein was commissioned to create an eclectic space with traditional architectural details in this home, which is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The Princess Margaret Showhome combines clean, classic spaces with modern furnishings. “It was really designed for someone who enjoys entertaining,” the designer himself states.

“I can imagine people hosting small and large parties in the space because the rooms flow into each other, so it’s a great space for mingling,” Gluckstein adds. “The surfaces have to be practical, and the Cosentino surfaces are not only attractive but also very durable. So, this is definitely the right product for a house that is going to be used a lot and very well-loved,” the designer notes.

The Luminosity & Movement

The house was designed to let in an enormous amount of natural light through the use of French doors and large windows. “We wanted to create a house that flows well, where rooms are both open to the others but still defined. It needs to be both a great house for entertaining and for family life,” explains designer, Brian Gluckstein, voted Favorite Interior Designer by House & Home readers and rated one of the top designers in the world in Andrew Martin’s 2017 Interior Design Review.

The interior designer adds that he aims to always have an accurate vision of what he wants before starting a project by collecting images from magazines, Pinterest, or Instagram to develop a clear plan of action.
