Rideau Residence

The extensive renovation was all encompassing, from a full exterior redesign to a full reconfiguration and gut of the interior. Our intent was to maintain, and build on, the existing character of the home while adding in all the luxuries and conveniences of a modern estate home. We added in an upper floor laundry and relocated the kitchen entirely. The dining room became a dramatic office and the existing office off of the primary bedroom was converted into a luxurious ensuite complete with a hidden coffee bar. We kept many original items such as the antique fireplace originating from London, but reinvented with new finishes. We added moldings, wallpaper and millwork designed to look like furniture pieces. Character and interest are everywhere in this unique home. We chose Silestone, Pearl Jasmine for the kitchen island and custom hood fan cover. The classic veining and beautiful multi-tones of whites in the quartz accented the heritage range, brass detailing and wood accents perfectly. We finished the island with an ogee edge that looked classic and beautiful in the space.
