Blue Motifs

a rhythmic visual expression of something old, something blue and something personal in retaining the existing mosaic patterned floor, this apartment’s rejuvenation was composed through the principles of pattern and repetition. adhering to the original design’s integrity inspired all design interventions to adopt the manner jazz is able to transform a common tune into one that is characterized. this characterization, further enhanced by a uniform blue colour blocking, underscores the surrounding materiality and organic textures utilized. its jauntiness trickled in tune with rhythmic tiling patterns for added visual impact. the contrast in this design tune is harnessed in the form of structural curves which go beyond softening the angular perimeters, they gently bridge the transitions of main spaces into private room pockets.
