Reflecting values and security

“Customers can be welcomed quickly and easily at two tiered counter levels”, explains carpenter Luzio Egli. “We co-ordinated the features and measurements with 85d using a 1:1 sample, on-site, exactly to the requirements of customers and bank staff. Fixtures mounted on the cabinet provide places for customers’ personal items and handbags. In addition, it was also important to integrate electric lift tables and safes on the advisors’ side.”

For durable, high-quality and easy-care furniture, Clientis agreed to the recommendation to use Dekton by Cosentino in the colour “Galema” for the surface. Dekton consists entirely of natural minerals, which are combined in a sintering process under high pressure and heat. The UV-resistant, solid-coloured and ultra-compact material is available in sizes up to 324 x 147 cm and thicknesses from 0.4 to 2 cm.

Dekton iD, personnalisation en détail

L’aéroport de Bakou captive le voyageur dès l’instant où il y pénètre. Il est en effet accueilli par un immense dallage Dekton, composé de triangles équilatéraux d’un mètre et demi de côté, conçu spécialement pour l’entrée. La variation chromatique avec trois nuances de couleur Sirius – spécialement créée pour ce design –, ainsi que les formes géométriques, produisent un effet 3D saisissant de cubes surélevés qui se reflètent dans les vitres de l’entrée principale du bâtiment.

Avec le service Dekton iD, il est possible de personnaliser les tranches Dekton dans les moindres détails, de la coupe et de la couleur – comme dans ce projet –-, jusqu’à la texture et à la finition. Considérée dans son ensemble, l’entrée de l’aéroport de Bakou offre au regard un flux continu où la tonalité ardoise de Sirius forme une extension naturelle de la façade du bâtiment, formée de vitres également triangulaires.

A material designed to endure the weather

The prestigious Golf Club had high standards for the terrace, which has to convey luxury and comfort in all weather conditions. In collaboration with Borek and Cosentino golf course designer Laureijs designed a custom-made chair and tables especially for the terrace of Bernardus.

For the tabletops Dekton by Cosentino was chosen, due to the extraordinary characteristics of the material: Uv-resistance, resistant to abrasion, ice and thawing, stains and sudden differences in temperature. This makes Dekton very suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Several tabletops were designed in different round, square and rectangular measurements. Worktops in 2 cm where made out of Dekton Trilium. This color has an industrial urban look and has been inspired by oxidized steel, which gives a rough appearance perfect fort his special location. As an extra advantage, this color consists for 80% out of recycled materials and brings an environmentally friendly choice.

Decoration made easy

"We wanted to create a beautiful, multi-functional product that is at the same time extremely easy to install" – like the Plug & Play feature of an iPhone," says Falk, who drove the expansion of a large Apple reseller before entering the premium kitchen sector. Indeed, Orea had to learn the same lesson as Steve Jobs: simple can be harder than complex. But all the effort has paid off. Shortly after its launch in 2019, “The Wall” received the highest accolade at the Red Dot Award, winning "Best of the Best" in the Product Design category.

The jury was impressed by its simple basic construction, clear design language and versatile adjustment possibilities. The base is made of a lightweight yet torsion-resistant preformed aluminium frame system. Patented rails from Orea are then added with a four-phase power supply (24 volts for safety reasons). Accessories such as shelves, LED lamps, induction charging stations or Bluetooth speakers can thus be positioned at any point facing up or down the wall.

Customised cuts to ensure visual continuity

The first visual impact is provided by the building's reception. The combination of Dekton Kelva dark stone, together with the steel and the programmable lighting, creates an overwhelming effect. This effect is intensified by cutting Dekton in large-format, which allows for visual continuity.

The reception desk, made of the same material, becomes a "sculpture". Designed and manufactured by hand, and fully cladded in Dekton, it required precise laser cutting and error-free handling. The result is a monolithic block reminiscent of materials taken from quarries in one piece.

Dekton is also used for flooring in common areas and bathrooms, in 3.2 x 1.4 metre slabs, achieving a striking effect.

Colours designed to last

The toilet and changing area is one of the most frequently used areas in a country club like Tanah Merah. One of Indez Design’s major concerns was to come up with a material that would maintain the stylish and unique look of the club but at the same time, would not be damaged over time and due to ongoing use. Silestone met both the technical features of robustness, as it is scratch-resistant, and the design requirements, with two classic colours: Royal Reef and Amazon.

Royal Reef has been used for the women’s changing room and toilet and provides the complex with a bright beige tone, quite in line with the wood and warm tones used in all the other facilities.

As for the men’s changing room, it has been refurbished with Silestone in Amazon, which conveys simplicity and energy thanks to its bronze shades and a very well-balanced texture.

La couleur grise chaude et délicatement veinée de Kira complète merveilleusement les motifs linéaires qui jouent un rôle important dans la décoration du hall d’entrée. Le revêtement donne l’impression d’avoir été taillé dans une pièce unique de pierre naturelle. Sur le comptoir, l’effet est une véritable prouesse de minimalisme et de simplicité.

One South County est un impressionnant bâtiment avant-gardiste de 12 840 m2 et cinq étages, dessiné par les architectes primés de The O’Toole Partnership (TOTP). En outre, le South County Business Park occupe une place de choix à Dublin, accessible facilement depuis n’importe quel point de la ville et même depuis les comtés voisins comme le Wicklow, le Kildare, le Meath et le Louth. Les principales lignes de transports en commun traversent ce parc d’activités, situé à environ 9 km du centre-ville de Dublin.
