The apartment's location on a corner in the Eixample district of Barcelona explains its elongated and narrow floor plan, more typical of a hallway than a home

The space is adapted to the contemporary way of life and the specific needs of its inhabitants. It is structured by means of two wooden boxes that delimit the most intimate spaces (the rooms), achieving maximum use of natural light and ventilation, as well as spacious and flexible common areas. In addition, these boxes serve as storage, and in one of the cases, it includes a high bed in order to free the space on the first floor for other required uses.

In previous interventions, the original hydraulic pavement and the Catalan vault roof had been hidden under materials of little value. These are partially rescued to recover the essence of the place: the strips occupied by the wooden furniture have a continuous pavement, while in the rest of the floor the original hydraulic floor has been preserved. This interplay of materiality and textures allows to break with the elongated proportion that the house originally had.
