The centrepiece of this Australian home is the impressive kitchen, which opens to the sun-drenched garden through a service window, and the scullery-laundry area. The Endeavour Homes studio knew that this had to be enhanced, and nothing could be better than Dekton Neural and Silestone Nolita to make the most of the project’s enormous potential.
A curved timber island bench in the kitchen, topped with Dekton Neural worktop, completes the space. The subtle marble vein that runs through the stone and seamlessly links the kitchen, laundry and scullery areas is perfect.
Light shades for unique sensations
In projects such as this, where the aim is to play with the exterior so that it is reflected in the interior, or vice versa, it is essential to choose the right finishes. That is why Dekton Neural was chosen for one part. A light cream-toned base with fine, pale veins that run through the marbling, creating a fascinating neural network that moves in the same direction.
Whereas, Silestone Nolita is characterised by light and crisp tones blended with fine, faded white and grey shades.
According to the studio, the goal all along was “to integrate the indoor/outdoor feeling through the service window, and the quality and durability of Cosentino’s products, coupled with an excellent range of colours to choose from” made it the best choice.
A homely atmosphere throughout
The kitchen, dining room and laundry area needed to be very personal in style and a true reflection of the overall project design and, by extension, the house itself. To make it durable, but also warm and accessible, functional and design-oriented, meant integrating and combining it with other features. And in this case, wood was the material that took on the role of the perfect companion.
Although the studio extols the virtues and benefits of the Cosentino material used in this particular project, because they were looking for a material inspired by natural stone with durability features, they understand that using a cosy complementary material adds a touch of homeliness. In this way, the blue of the sky that streams in through the large windows, the white of the Cosentino surfaces and the wood combine to create a perfect ambience.
