Danish IT and business consultancy company Netcompany decided to renovate one of the most important areas for its employees to meet and socialise. A ‘Friday bar’ overlooking the Christianshavn Canal, where 700 to 800 employees pass by every week. The aim was to enhance the aesthetic quality of the design to create a space that balances warmth with sophistication. To achieve this, they teamed up with Soroe Furniture to design a space that is as functional as it is stylish.

“An exclusive and modern renovation using Cut-to-Size natural stone was carried out in close collaboration with Soroe Furniture. The result is a great venue for corporate events close to the centre of Copenhagen,” stresses Jens Blaabjerg, Project Sales Manager for Cosentino Denmark.

Without a doubt, the most striking feature of this renovation project is the bar area. An impressive volume in which the natural stone Scalea by Cosentino has been chosen to give a lavish atmosphere. The colour of choice is specifically the Scalea Marron Emperador, a powerful stone synonymous with passion and temperament.

Its dark background with light veins is a perfect match for the dark brown wood chosen for the bar and cabinets, as well as the dark tones of the other furniture chosen, such as tables and chairs. In addition, the brightness of the space is enhanced by the polished finish of this surface, and the large windows seamlessly link the interior with the panoramic Copenhagen skyline.

Designed for internal company events and initiatives, the space embodies the company’s values, with a clear focus on digital transformation and forward-thinking solutions.
