How to decorate a home with white appliances?

White appliances have long been a classic choice, but that does not mean that they work with any decor style.

The ease with which they can combine with natural materials like wood mean that they can be successfully implemented with both rustic and modern styles. Its ability to contrast is very attractive, and when combined with black details from certain appliances a more elegant and classy style can also be achieved.

In those kitchens where white is the predominant color, these appliances integrate perfectly.

It is a highly recommended option for small kitchens, where we have to try and create a space that feels larger than it actually is.

And stainless steel?

Stainless steel appliances are recommended for contemporary style kitchens. Their metallic finishes show off the technological evolution of these appliances, but they can suit any type of kitchen.

If you are looking for a contrasting style, white and stainless steel are the perfect combination. Likewise, another attractive option is an industrial style kitchen with  stainless steel appliances matched with other stainless steel fittings.

Combine steel and natural stone or wood to create a cozy kitchen, where tradition meets contemporary living.

Is a white kitchen better with white or stainless steel appliances?

In general, white kitchens have traditionally always had white appliances. The reality is that current trends have a huge influence on our choice between one or the other, and there is no real distinction between a “better” or “worse” option.

Predominant white colors are back on trend thanks to the increased Nordic influence seen in today’s kitchens. These trends include combinations of white fittings and white countertops. These different shades can be found in the Silestone Ethereal Series and there are also paler options available too in the Dekton Natural Series, which when paired with white appliances can create a harmonious space that is almost hypnotic.

The use of some specific neutral tones helps to minimize the overall visual impact, resulting in an attractive and relaxing space, with an air of sophistication.

However, contrasts are also popular in many kitchens, with combinations of white fittings and walls with stainless steel appliances.

These results often add a contemporary twist to a space, which we can emphasize with darker colored countertops such as Dekton Entzo or Dekton Aura which, with their darker and grayer tones help to bring both styles together.

Tips when choosing the color of your kitchen appliances

In general, white appliances will help to make any kitchen feel lighter, however, stainless steel can also have the same effect in larger kitchens where white is the predominant color.

In those kitchens where there is more color in the fittings and/or floor, white appliances help to balance out the colorful tones.

In contemporary or industrial style kitchens, white can be almost wasted or go unnoticed, so stainless steel is the best way to go.
