Silestone gives a lot of character to this luxury villa

Designed by Emre Akoğlu, this house is the definition of luxury: spacious rooms, several floors and a large estate with outdoor areas including a swimming pool. The interior design of the house combines a renovated classic style with an eclectic mix of materials and textures. Among them is Silestone by Cosentino, which has been used for the bed frame and headboard in one of the master bedrooms. In addition to the bed, the designer also chose Silestone to clad the bathroom doors, creating a unified design concept that gives the house a lot of character.

The veining of the fabulous Marquina marble for a bed

The versatility of Silestone allowed the designer to create a bespoke bed. The colour chosen was Eternal Marquina: “it was the product that best captured the deep black effect I was looking for when I designed the bed, with its beautiful contrasting white veins”, explains the designer. Inspired by Spanish black Marquina marble, this colour is so powerful that, when used on the bed, it becomes the highlight of the entire room.

Integrity in design

In combination with the bed frame, the bathroom doors also feature small pieces of the same material. Eternal Marquina adorns the door frames and a small central panel, making access to the bathroom majestic. “The aim was to preserve the integrity of the design, for which we used the same material”, says Emre Akoğlu.

Versatile and long lasting

The properties of the material were among the advantages that led the designer to choose this Silestone colour. “Obviously, the durability of the material was important. In addition, its 12 mm thickness allowed me to create the design I was looking for in these applications with a lightweight material”, he further says. Furthermore, Silestone is a hybrid surface composed of minerals and recycled materials which, thanks to its unique and innovative HybriQ+ technology, requires minimal maintenance and makes it resistant to stains and scratches.
