Due to the natural timber elements with the existing floor and my clients wish for a Matt Black Kitchen I designed a lineal timber element to the top of the doors and created a handless kitchen with a negative detail and an extra thick Dekton benchtop to make the timber accent the feature and tie in perfectly with the flooring. The small timber open shelves that sit underneath the wall units and also on the rear of the island create a transition from floor to base cabinet to wall unit.
