Cosentino, winner of the Spanish National Innovation Award 2021

Cosentino has won this prestigious prize, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, in the ‘Large Company’, category for developing a strategic R&D&I management model that places innovation at the heart of its value chain.

Cosentino, global leader company in the production and distribution of innovative and sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, has won the Spanish National Innovation Award, from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, in the ‘Large Company’ category for developing a strategic R&D&I management model that places innovation at the heart of its value chain. Furthermore, the jury valued the fact that the company has achieved the position of world leader in the production and distribution of surfaces for design and architecture, based on the values of a family business that attaches the utmost importance to the structuring of the territory in which it is rooted.

The purpose of these awards is to honour those individuals and organisations that use innovation as an essential part of the development of their professional strategy and business growth. It also aims to recognise professionals and companies that have made a significant contribution to the prestige of Spanish design and entities that, by implementing it in their business strategy, have demonstrated that design is a powerful tool for innovation and competitiveness.

HybriQ® is a qualitative leap in the evolution of the Silestone® brand. It is a new production process characterised by the company’s commitment to the environment and the circular economy. In addition, as a result of the research process, a new formulation has been achieved in the composition of this product, where the presence of crystalline silica is significantly reduced.
