“Wake up to luscious landscaped greens and pristine fairways with an iconic backdrop of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai skyline. Live in a sophisticated address that inspires peak performance, every day. Come home to the Dubai Hills Estate”. This is how the developer describes this luxury residential community in the United Arab Emirates, renowned for its high-end shopping, ultra-modern architecture and vibrant nightlife.
People from all over the world come here to work and many choose to live in this community built around one of the world’s finest golf courses. In addition to the golf course and clubhouse, the development includes business parks and a shopping centre, and is close to quality schools and hospitals.
All these amenities attracted a young European family who decided to make it their home by choosing an opulent five-bedroom villa. This villa has been completely renovated by one of the country’s most renowned interior designers, Madrid-born Gema Blanco, who has been working in the city for several years and Claudia Granberg, Nicaraguan designer with 15 years of experiencie, founders of Estilo Blanco Interiors since 2021.
Dekton Entzo: all the beauty of marble with high level of functional performance
In this particular case, the studio was given carte blanche to carry out a renovation with a focus on certain aspects: warmth, comfort, functionality and elegance. To achieve these objectives, Blanco used clean lines, a neutral colour palette and high-quality materials such as Dekton Entzo.
Inspired by Calacatta Gold marble, this stone exudes realism and naturalness thanks to the random shapes engraved by its golden veins, which cover each of the vanity tops in the five bathrooms in the house. The Dekton Entzo colour adds an opulent touch that blends seamlessly with the overall décor, but more importantly, it also meets another key requirement of the customer: functionality.
Indeed, Dekton is resistant to stains, scratches and the effects of heat and cold. Furthermore, its virtually non-porous and anti-bacterial surface ensures exceptional performance, especially in the wet environment of a bathroom.
Dekton Danae brings warmth and robustness to floors, walls, and the shower
All of these factors contributed to the choice of Dekton for one of the showers, in the colour Danae. This colour, which captures the essence of the movement of sand in the nearby desert, is a perfect match for Entzo with its various shades of beige. This is why it has also been used for the walls and floors, taking advantage of its non-slip properties.
“Cosentino materials allow us to achieve a sense of elegance and sophistication without being flashy or overdone. The Dekton colours provide a strong visual impact, while offering a high quality, non-porous surface that prevents the absorption of water and other liquids, thus making bathrooms and wet areas easier to maintain,” say Gema Blanco and Claudia Granberg from Estilo Blanco Interiors.
