Wellness and personal beauty are at the heart of Fausta Pagani’s beauty parlour in Bergamo, Italy. And to achieve this in a setting that matches her professionalism, she turned to Provesi Arredamenti for the interior design and Cosentino for the finishes.
“In our facilities, we carry out reshaping and slimming treatments to enhance the beauty and features of the face and body,” explains Fausta. It was important to her that the premises conveyed the sense of relaxation that this type of business requires, but also that she could identify with the place, that it reflected her personality and made her “feel good” about being there. And she claims that Cosentino was the one who helped her the most to achieve this.
Neutral colours for a relaxed atmosphere
In order to create a serene atmosphere, the studio opted for neutral colours such as white and above all grey. These have been shown to promote peace and tranquillity without causing visual or emotional disturbance. It was with these colours in mind that the studio chose its materials.
Cosentino was selected “for its versatility in terms of finishes, sizes and thicknesses. It is an attractive and functional material. The various formats of the slabs and tiles, which enhance the material aspect of the product, also allow for complete customisation,” she asserts. “Dekton makes the environment look elegant, simple and natural, while retaining its characteristics of resistance and ease of cleaning.”
Three colours from Dekton Pietra Kode
With this in mind, three colours from the Dekton Pietra Kode collection were chosen: Sabbia, Ceppo and Marmorio.
The first, Dekton Sabbia, is used for the bathroom floor and for the cladding and counter in the entrance hall. The vein pattern of this colour, which recreates Italian travertine, runs through each piece in a random and colourful way, enriching it with nuances. This attractive colour recoding of natural stone maximises the strength of the original design.
The second, Dekton Ceppo, is used for the wall cladding. The distinctive blue-grey multiform structure of the Italian Ceppo di Gré stone inspires this colour. Ideal for both indoors and outdoors, its timeless design makes it a perfect choice for a classic or modern look.
Last but not least, Dekton Marmorio is the main feature for floors, stairs and cladding. Its light striped structure with filled pores, which gives an elegant, bright and lightweight look to any design, is inspired by Travertino Navona, a natural stone quarried near Tivoli, east of Rome.
