Cosentino Group consolidates its business over 2019

• The company's estimated turnover during 2019 reached Euro 1,110 million, an increase of 12.7% from 2018. The investment plan set out for the next three years (2020-2022) will increase to Euro 280 million.

• Cosentino generated 470 new direct jobs last year, reaching a total global workforce of almost 4,800 employees.

Cosentino has continued to increase investments in manufacturing, the expansion of its business model in international markets, the creation of employment, plus a continuous drive for innovation and sustainability. 2019 has been a particularly intense year for investments, which total a provisional sum of Euro 120 million. This investment drive, mostly industrial, has resulted in the start of an ambitious growth plan in production capacity, involving both automisation and digitalisation at Silestone®. In addition to the investments already made, the company's three-year investment plan (2020-2022) designates an approximate sum of Euro 280 million to continue the strategy. Another key strategic pillar that was prioritised last year was the company's commitment to the environment and people. Apart from investments made to recover heat, improve energy efficiency, enlarge wastewater treatment capacity and modernise the COV systems, highlights included that the the company achieved a new assessment of waste record rate of 33% in 2019. 2019 also was a successful year for attracting talent and generating employment. It was a strong year for job creation, with the estimated number of Cosentino Group employees reaching nearly 4,800 all over the world (4,785 staff). In the last year alone, Cosentino generated around 470 new jobs, an increase of 11% over 2018.
