This casual yet chic destination, which features Dekton tabletops, is perfect for after-work drinks or an Instagrammable cocktail beside the pool.

The rooftop space is decked out in bold red and crisp white elements, and styled with chic furnishings and fairy lighting to complement the al fresco setting.

The project designers of this inspiring hotel, Cape Town-based interior architecture studio Source IBA, worked together with local furniture brand Haldane Martin (a frequent collaborator with Cosentino) to create countertops and tables worthy of the panoramic views. Here, Cosentino’s Dekton in Portum was the surface of choice.

Dekton’s seamless combination of function and beauty makes it ideal for any architectural project. In keeping with the bold red-and-white design of the Red Rooftop Bar & Terrace, the team selected Dekton in the colour Portum, with its sculptural whitish base imbued with characterful greyish veins in a velvet finish. The ultra-compact stone with its resistance to abrasions, scratches and impacts, and water and stains, was the perfect choice for this high-traffic area.
