Maszac Building is an Australian construction company based in Perth that, in its 16 years of operation, has built not only its clients’ dream homes, but also a relationship of trust with them, thanks to a strong work ethic, communication and attention to detail. This is evident in this project, a 330 square metre home where the emphasis has always been on maximising natural light and encouraging open spaces.

In this case, white is the defining colour that acts as a backdrop for exploring other materials such as wood and exposed brick. This combination creates a sense of warmth in any space where it is used.

A worktop in Dekton Opera marks the entrance to the house

According to the studio, the most interesting architectural and decorative feature is the space created by the front elevation, the partitions separating the entrance hall from the corridor, the wall-mounted unit with Dekton Opera worktop and the burnished concrete floor. These elements work perfectly together to define the entrance hall and the other spaces. An exposed brick wall facing the staircase adds to the comfort of this space and ensures a natural flow throughout the house.

A functional and stylish kitchen inspired by Carrara marble

Dekton’s versatility, strength, resistance to scratching, heat and staining, as well as its enormous range of options, convinced the studio to use it as a key feature in their kitchen design. In keeping with today’s taste for marble surfaces in interior design, Dekton Opera mimics the refined Italian Carrara marble. Its pleasantly soft touch is enhanced by the new Dekton Velvet Texture finish.

Its creamy white background is crossed by a simple light grey veining that adds depth and character, while its classic understated finish offers a sensationally soft and velvety feel.

Durable materials and design take precedence in the bathroom

Whether the bathroom has natural light and ventilation or not, the materials, décor and furniture should be designed to be functional and prevent deterioration.

The wood of the furniture is the perfect complement to the sturdy Dekton Opera surface, which houses the washbasin. In addition, its grey veins blend with the vertical walls and floors, creating a sense of continuity and elegance throughout the space.
