The interiors of this spacious house, located in one of the villages near Krakow, were designed by Malgorzata Staniek, owner of the Marbou studio. The neat combination of old and new in this place creates a timeless space that will survive seasonal fashions. The interiors are elegant, but at the same time very friendly to the residents, and the piano set in the middle of the living room brings an artistic vibe and looseness to the orderly living room. When the family gathers around the dinner table, one can sometimes hear the beauty of classical music, the sounds of oozing legato and staccato, making life here more beautiful and full.
The living room in the residence shown today near Krakow is kept in a subdued color scheme of gray, which is enlivened by stronger touches of navy blue and pink. While relaxing in this part of the house, one can enjoy a beautiful view of Krakow, the city that has stolen the heart of the owners and the designer. The compositional figure of the living area is a large, very comfortable, yet optically light modular sofa.
The use of navy blue colors enlivens the space, adding a secret allure, class and elegance. The sofa is accompanied by tables made of oak wood by Scandinavian brand MUUTO. The whole composition is complemented by an intriguing wallpaper with a floral motif, framed in stucco. On the other hand, a subtle backdrop for the living room is a white tiled fireplace that evokes memories.
In the high part of the living room, attention is drawn to a beautiful classical library and a wooden ceiling, warming the interior and giving it a cozy feel. It was to them that Malgorzata Staniek had to adjust the rest of the design solutions in the house. She juxtaposed the whole with modern furniture, which gave the whole an eclectic atmosphere. In the high part of the living room a space for a piano with a comfortable relaxation area was adopted. Stylish gold chandeliers are an interesting counterpoint to the wood ceiling, and at the same time are an interesting visual asset.
Spacious kitchen with a bold touch
The modern kitchen seamlessly connects the living room with the dining room. At its heart is a comfortable island made of large-format Silestone Calacatta Gold tiles by Cosentino. The delicate, decorative veins of this marble-like surface form a harmonious whole with the white kitchen cabinetry.
Silestone, which is used for kitchen countertops, bathroom countertops, table linings, walls, floors and stairs, has become a leitmotif, returning in more zones in the form of the top of the round dining table, as well as in the living room on the top of the designed dresser. In the dining room, the Calacatta Gold motif was also repeated on the back of the glass display case to give the effect of an orderly and stylistically consistent space.
In the dining room, the owner wanted a large round table. To keep the composition consistent, it was designed with Silestone, a mineral hybrid surface characterized by easy care, high stain and scratch resistance. An interesting idea of the clients was to arrange a bread tiled stove in the kitchen. It was matched with a bold and distinctive azure color, making it a strong accent in the space.
The investors placed a lot of trust in the designer, giving her freedom in terms of both style and functionality. The whole impresses with attention to every detail. Marbou studio's vision turned out to be very consistent with the needs and preferences of the clients. The result is worth the effort, as it is hard to take your eyes off these eclectic interiors.
