The Essential Induction is the latest innovation of Gaggenau, the luxury brand for professional grade home appliances. A cooktop and worktop combined into one integrated, unsighted architectural masterpiece. Its single surface with no barriers, frames or gaps allows it to seamlessly integrate into any living space. The Essential Induction cooktop has been designed to integrate with Dekton® by Cosentino ultracompact stone.

Dekton® is a revolutionary ultracompact stone surface developed through a sophisticated mixture of minerals and made with exclusive Sinterized Particle Technology (TSP), which is an innovative ultracompaction process. It boasts superior technical properties, such as resistance to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, and very low water absorption. Dekton® surfaces are available in more than 60 finishes, designs and colours to complement any kitchen design.

The collaboration between both leading brands has been revealed during C·Next Designers, an immersive conference arranged by Cosentino which has gathered from Sunday 1st until today almost 300 interior design professionals from up to 17 different European countries. The meeting had the participation of prestigious designers such as Tom Dixon; Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin from FormaFantasma; the Argentine Andrés Reisinger; Claudia Afshar; or Kar-Hwa Ho, Head of Interior Architecture at Zaha Hadid's studio.

One of the congress highlights, in which Gaggenau collaborated as a Platinum sponsor, has been a stunning Poggenpohl outdoor kitchen where attendees discovered the new Essential Induction cooktop technology. Also, in yesterday's session, Dr. Peter Goetz, Managing Director of Gaggenau, gave a speech about Gaggenau’s innovation processes and explained in detail the Essential Induction cooktop, an innovation “that will not only change the way people cook but also how they choose to interact and socialise in the modern, open plan kitchen”.

The Essential Induction cooktop will be available to purchase at authorised Gaggenau retailers in European countries from May 2024.
