Cosentino is proud to participate in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, a program created in 1991 by Dr. Donald Mack and one of the largest fundraising programs for St. Jude in the United States. In 31 years, the program has raised over $605 million and built 655 homes in 10 states nationwide. These homes have a market value between $300,000 and $700,000 and are constructed with donated or deeply discounted products and services to ensure the overwhelming majority of the proceeds raised go directly to helping this noble cause.

Cosentino and other vendors partnered with Newton Custom Home & Realty, a company that has built the St. Jude Dream Home in the Charlotte, NC area for nine years and raised over $16 million. Cosentino provided slabs of Dekton and Silestone in various spaces to give this home the luxury and minimal maintenance required. Let’s take a tour of the high-performance surfaces around this home.

A tour of the high-performance surfaces around this home

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and it’s no different in the St. Jude Dream Home. For the kitchen countertops and island, the color Ceppo from the Dekton Pietra Kode collection was the material of choice. This unmistakable shade is notable for its bluish-gray multiform structure inspired by Italian Ceppo di Gré stone. The timeless design makes it ideal for a classic or modern look.

Moving on to the powder vanity, the countertop is graced by Silestone Et. Marquina, a color that evokes the beautiful Black Marquina marble and presents an intense black canvas with striking white veining.

Cosentino materials were also present in the primary bath in the form of Dekton Soke, a cement-inspired shade that has been meticulously designed with realistic veining and subtle details.

Finally, another color from the Dekton Pietra Kode was selected for the laundry room and hall bathroom, this time in the color Nebbia. Nebbia features a fine-grained white creamy base dotted with warm taupe hues. This versatile color is ideal for any application, especially high traffic areas.

The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases with the mission of “Finding Cures. Saving Children”. Treatments invented at St. Jude’s have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to over 80% since its inception in 1962. Cosentino is honored to work with incredible partners to bring Charlotte St. Jude Dream Home to life and benefit a cause that is making a difference in children’s lives.
