Recently, the studio once again demonstrated its expertise with the renovation of a kitchen in Bodrum, a tourist destination where the studio is also located. “It is a kitchen designed to be enjoyed on a day-to-day basis,” says Selcan Çölok, the studio designer in charge of this project. The kitchen is located in a beautiful stone house surrounded by nature, so all living spaces communicate with the garden through large windows.
For almost 30 years, the Turkey-based kitchen studio Bodrum Mutfak Mobilya has been providing its customers with an outstanding personalised service by designing aesthetically and technically exceptional systems that are perfectly suited to the spaces and needs of the users and are highly functional.
“The view of the sea from a kitchen that opens up to nature through a beautiful terrace is enough to make you happy,” say the professionals. Even so, the studio enhanced that feeling through an attractive design that is functional and elegant without being pretentious.
Thus, the large U-shaped room with an island in its centre features two materials that stand out from the rest: the wood used for the cabinets and the stone used for the worktops and which, thanks to its organic appearance, establishes a perfect dialogue with the outdoor spaces. “The most significant architectural and decorative aspect of the project is the balance achieved by combining a rusty terracotta veining with textured wood,” the studio says. “This successful combination with the textured wood we had chosen was made possible thanks to Dekton Reverie,” they say.
Dekton Reverie: rich aesthetics and maximum functionality
This matt-finished surface reinterprets the iconic features of precious paonazzo marble thanks to a thick veining with gradients of light grey and cream that blend with luscious rusty terracotta shades and subtle hints of inky blue. The colour captivated the designers who, in addition to the aesthetic richness of the material, highlighted its ease of use.
Indeed, Dekton is a fully sustainable stone (it is carbon neutral throughout its entire life cycle) that does not stain, does not scratch and withstands minor abrasions common in kitchens. In addition, its virtually non-porous and antibacterial surface makes it the perfect material for this type of room.
Dekton can withstand ice and even fire. Proof of this is its 25-year warranty, during which time the material will remain virtually unchanged. All this led this experienced studio to opt for this Cosentino product to create a modern and comfortable kitchen with a timeless look and high quality.
