The ultracompact surface brand, Dekton® by Cosentino has been voted the Best Work Surface in the prestigious Bathroom & Kitchen Update Awards 2019.

The BKU Awards are designed to celebrate the very best retailers, brands, people and services within the kitchen and bathroom industry.  Unlike other awards, the industry is the judging panel, with the finalists voted for using a secure online voting platform.  The recipient of the highest number of votes wins.

Paul Gidley, UK Area Director at Cosentino said,  “We are thrilled that the industry has voted Dekton® as the Best Work Surface in the BKU Awards 2019.  We continue to develop innovative new colours and textures in line with industry trends and demands – all backed up by outstanding support, availability and service.  The award is a testament to everyone who works for and represents Dekton® and we are hugely proud and grateful to everyone who voted.”

Created by Cosentino through an ultra compaction process, Dekton® offers hardwearing benefits. These include a high resistance to heat, scratches, staining and UV rays.  Suitable for use both indoors and out, its surfaces can be used for a range of projects, such as kitchen and bathroom worktops, flooring and wall cladding.  In addition to the newly launched, innovative 4mm Dekton® Slim format, it is available in a variety of thicknesses (8mm, 12mm and 20mm) and large format slabs up to 320cm x 144cm.
