Cosentino and Tatler Empower Emerging Design Talents at Inaugural Tatler Design Awards in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur - Cosentino has partnered with Tatler, the renowned lifestyle publication, to support and celebrate emerging designers in Malaysia. As a key sponsor of the prestigious Tatler Design Awards, Cosentino reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation and recognising exceptional talent within the local design community.

The inaugural Tatler Design Awards, held at the Royal Selangor Visitor's Centre, brought together visionary designers and architects who push the boundaries of creativity and shape the future of the industry. The awards ceremony honoured outstanding achievements across seven categories, including the Best Architectural Concept, Best Sustainable Design, Best Use of Colour, Best Show Unit, Best Interior Design, Designer on the Rise, and Best Innovative Design (Non-residential).

Local interior designers and architectural firms such as A3 Projects, Design Network Architects, Core Design Workshop, Sfera by MCL Land, Pins Design Studio, and Studio Bikin were among the deserving winners of the Tatler Design Awards. The esteemed jury panel, comprised of prominent industry figures including Ed Ng, co-founder of AB Concept, Kian Liew, head of global interior design and technical services at The Ascott, Bee Eu Tan of BETA Architects, Omar Khan, and IDr Lai Siew Hong of Blu Water Studio, rigorously evaluated and selected the winners. This year, Cosentino also partnered with IDr Lai Siew Hong to host a series of Design x Dialogue sessions featuring up-and-coming designers and architects throughout the year to inspire and engage the local design community.

One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of captivating furniture pieces designed with the all-new Cosentino Dekton® Pietra Kode collection. Doubble Interiors collaborated with Cosentino to create a stunning series consisting of a chair, console, and coffee table that explore design possibilities beyond the kitchen and working countertops, revolving around the theme of diversity.
