Edward Tan of Spacemen Studio showcases chic interior inspiration and unveils showstopping furniture pieces with surfaces inspired by the timeless elegance of Victorian and Parisian spaces.
Kuala Lumpur– Cosentino, the global leader in producing innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and interior design, teamed up with Edward Tan, founder of award-winning interior design firm Spacemen Studio to demonstrate ways one can style one’s home interiors by incorporating the modern and timeless Silestone Le Chic collection. The collection inspired by the charm of Victorian and Parisian spaces has six designs including Parisien Blue, Eclectic Pearl, Versailles Ivory, Victorian Silver, Bohemian Flame and Romantic Ash.

Held at the Cosentino showroom, distinguished guests such as Chef Raymond Tham of Skillet 163 and TV host and personality Desmond Tey, were invited for an engaging panel discussion offering inspirational ways to create modern, timeless and elegant spaces within the homes. Presented by Edward Tan and co-hosted with Patricia Lyon, Cosentino’s South East Asia Marketing representative, the talk inspired designs featuring the enchanting aesthetics of Victorian and Parisian spaces, spotlighting the Silestone Le Chic collection.
The “Dune Series” inspired by the Dune of Pilat in France featuring Silestone Le Chic and Urban Crush collection
As part of a collaborative effort, Cosentino and Edward embarked on a visionary furniture piece resulting in the creation of the ‘Dune Series’, which includes both the lounge chair and a versatile side table. The artistic furniture piece drew inspiration from the Dune of Pilat in France. The sculptural lounge chair seamlessly integrates Victorian Silver and Versailles Ivory from the Silestone Le Chic collection while the multi-functional side table which doubles as a footstool was crafted with Cinder Craze from the Silestone Urban Crush collection complementing the design perfectly. "I envisioned the Dune series to be a statement piece that will stand out in any space where it is placed, offering both aesthetic beauty and functionality." shared Edward.
The side table which was reimagined with Cinder Craze of the Silestone Urban Crush collection, one of the four colours of the collection (which also included Lime Delight, Concrete Pulse and Brass Relish), was inspired by the pulsating energy of the city and its emerging urban trends.
Chic interior tips to elevate your bathroom and kitchen space with Silestone Le Chic collection
As home holds a special place in Edward’s heart where he spends the majority of his time, he spotlighted the significant spaces within his residences to illustrate how one can master the art of effortless chic for their home interiors.
The bathroom is one of the most frequented rooms in any home, beginning with one’s morning routine and ending with bedtime rituals. Edward emphasised the importance of infusing personal preferences into this space. Edward recommended the Parisien Blue as his preferred choice for the bathroom, particularly vanity tops because he has “a personal love for the colour blue, as it symbolises the strength of character and powerful personality and the veins make the vanity a statement art piece”.
Another important part of the home that most families would invest in is the kitchen as it is the space where families unite to share and forge bonds over meals. Given the profound significance of daily French mealtime rituals, Edward suggests incorporating elements that exude warmth and hospitality, ensuring that families feel at ease around the dining table. He proposes the Versailles Ivory for the kitchen area which features golden veins with majestic character as “it gives off a natural and comforting vibe.”
