State of the Art Kitchen Showroom Selects Dekton by Cosentino for Exterior Cladding

State-of-the-art kitchen and furniture showroom, my fathers heart, was the first kitchen showroom in the UK to be fitted with Dekton by Cosentino exterior cladding. Located in Sheffield, my fathers heart makes bespoke handmade kitchens, bedrooms and freestanding furniture, working for customers who are looking for true quality. Dekton was chosen for the ventilated rainscreen cladding façade panel along with other finishes to give a contemporary look to the showroom, standing proud against the surrounding buildings.
The main criteria for the selection of the 12mm Dekton Sirocco was its large format panels, a workable surface that could be cut into different sizes, along with its low porosity, stone-like appearance and UV, scratch and graffiti resistance. Dekton possesses all these characteristics, giving peace of mind for a high-quality and long-lasting product, regardless of application.
The project required a quick turnaround time. With Cosentino’s fabrication set up at its headquarters in Spain, cut to size fabricated panels were delivered to site for installation within four weeks, enabling my fathers heart to meet the deadline for opening the showroom on schedule.
The bespoke cut panels were discreetly fixed with the help of a mechanical support structure. Dekton is a workable surface with high flexural strength, which enabled the panels to be cut in different sizes and shapes as per the site’s aesthetic requirements. Crisp details were achieved thanks to mitred and chamfered corners; a look usually very difficult to accomplish using other materials.
