Niched in the heart of the Vosges, just a stone's throw away from the ski slopes in Remiremont, the 4-star hotel Le Chapitre welcomes you within the walls of the city's former Banque de France. This unique venue, with its historic classical architecture, celebrates its 100th anniversary upon its reopening in September 2023, following a complete makeover.
Overseeing the project is architect Gerald Klauss, whose agency, based in Épinal, operates throughout the Grand Est region. A renowned figure in the field, Klauss's expertise extends from large-scale renovation projects, such as this one, to more modest private endeavors. His versatile style is reflected in the various spaces of the hotel, ranging from the rooms to the rooftop, passing through the 850m² spa with a heated pool for moments of relaxation, as well as a bistro-style restaurant.
Indeed, each space embodies its own unique identity, yet a single common thread focuses on overall well-being. In the spa, this translates into soft colors of wood and stone, creating an impression of total harmony with nature, while the rooms are understated and fully equipped, offering all the comfort necessary for a relaxing stay.
However, it is in the warm and intimate lobby where one encounters our ultra-compact material, Dekton, in the Sirius color, one of our flagship references. It is used as a bar covering, a reception desk, and also as a buffet countertop in the dining area. This color, with its dark matte waxed concrete effect, brings depth and elegance to the space while remaining understated. The black, with its textured visual effect and touches of deep green tones, enriches the environment with realism and power.
Dekton Sirius resonates with the grand central metal fireplace in the room, which envelops the entire space in a comforting warmth. The blue and ochre tones chosen for the furniture and decor invigorate and enliven the atmosphere. The carpet, the wool of the armchairs, and all the materials used evoke a cozy lounge spirit, reminiscent of a chalet where one wishes to unwind after a long day.
