Here’s Ben Teo, the founding designer at 19 Eighty Three, a boutique interior design practice in Singapore. Ben discovered his true calling in interior design when his inaugural project, the renovation of his house, earned a coveted feature in a magazine. This defining moment marked the beginning of his passionate journey in shaping spaces and creating stunning designs.
“I don’t have a specific personal design style, but I enjoy experimenting with space and exploring various layouts. The recent HDB project using Cosentino materials, where we reimagined the kitchen layout, is a prime example of this approach.”
Tranquil Ambience
Ben’s designs exude a timeless elegance with its use of minimalist elements that provide the clients a sense of ease and tranquillity. Using Cosentino’s Dekton collection, Ben creates a sense of comfort and serenity in his designs, exuding the latest style while honouring the evergreen traditional elements.
Monochromatic Luxury
By carefully and smartly curating his colour and design choices, Ben finds a way to balance allure and style, while also offering a sense of warmth and homeliness. A medley of colours, patterns and textures, his designs always manage to exude power, elegance, sophistication and luxury.
“Sustainability is at the heart of our design approach. We're actively seeking ways to incorporate more eco-friendly materials into our projects. It's not just a goal; it's a commitment to a greener future.”
On the Future of Interior Design
"Cosentino’s impressive showroom ensures our owners are well taken care of and well-educated about the products, making them more receptive to our design and colour proposals. It’s been an incredible collaboration!"
