Hong Hao graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1989. He has earned international recognition with photographic series like ‘My Things,’ featuring everyday objects that the artist meticulously collects, photographs, groups into categories, and files, creating huge collages that propose an aesthetic research and an analysis of our relationship with consumerism. The work of Hong Hao is included in the collections of the MoMA in New York, the British Museum in London, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Asian Art Museum of Fukuoka, among other venues.
