Highlights from Cosentino’s Glittering Sunset Sessions
Dazzling surfaces, craft cocktails on colour-changing bar, live music and culinary delights – Cosentino spares nothing for Sunset Sessions, the celebration of Silestone Le Chic and Urban Crush’s joint launch in Singapore.
The two-evening’s celebration last week saw hundreds of media and industry friends gathering at Cosentino City Singapore to experience and admire the two new Silestone collections’ 10 colours and the special collaboration with RSP.
The Singapore-headquartered global multidisciplinary architectural and engineering design group has created the Sun Bar for the occasion.
Brought to life in collaboration with Million Lighting, Sunray Woodcraft Construction and TS&T Construction, the Sun Bar is a three-metre-long colour changing bar featuring roughly 500 Silestone samples and 1,000 smart LED units.
It played hosts to guests during the Sunset Sessions, changing its colours to the beat of the music.
“I find the combination of the stone element – something so tangible – with something soft like the light that mimics the sunset to be quite magical,” said Lim Fong Wei, Senior Correspondent of Lianhe Zaobao.
“My favourite new colour is the Concrete Pulse from the Urban Crush collection,” said Vanitha Pavapathi, Editor of Cubes magazine. “It reminds me of my mother’s home, which has terrazzo finishes.”
Le Chic collection’s Bohemian Flame garnered the most fans during the evening. “The copper veining gives a sense of depth to it,” said multidisciplinary artist Eugene Kosgoron.
“The grains are very expressive and it looks natural,” Si Jian Xin, Director at Wynk Collaborative, said about Bohemian Flame.
Guests sipped sunset mimosas and indulged in creatively crafted, tastebud-tantalising tapas like passionfruit ceviche, salmon tartare cigar, and fresh oysters by award-winning restaurant Asador.
