Cosentino arrives in Milan with an agenda full of activities and Industry change maker new releases

Milano Design Week 2024 is here! This globally renowned design date, taking place from April 15 to 21 in Milano, promises again a week filled with the pinnacle of design, innovation and creativity. Comprising the prestigious Salone del Mobile and the eclectic Fuorisalone, Milano Design Week offers an unmatched platform for designers, brands, and enthusiasts from across the globe.

In its 62nd edition, Salone del Mobile will come back again to the Rho Fiera grounds from 16-21 April, and will include a programme enriching its design offering through a series of multicultural initiatives. This edition faces the challenges of contemporary life, with an eye to the ecological transition, and will present events such as the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo, Workplace 3.0, S.Project, EuroCucina with Technology For the Kitchen (FTK), the Salone del Bagno or SaloneSatellite.

Meanwhile, the most relevant designers and brands internationally are converging in Fuorisalone (15-21 April) to exchange ideas and showcase projects that influence our current reality. Through a myriad of events, exhibitions, and installations scattered throughout the city, they aim to shape our present. Centered on principles of circular economy, reuse, and sustainable practices and materials, the Fuorisalone’s 24 theme: “Materia Natura”, seeks to foster a culture of mindful design.

Both for this commitment to sustainability and for the Salone’s focus on evolution and innovation as key concepts, Cosentino returns once again to Milano as surface industry leader, and takes part in this outstanding gathering with a full programme of events and industry disruptive new releases.

EARTHIC® LAB X FORMAFANTASMA - Fuorisalone 2024

Cosentino has partnered with the globally–renowned designers Formafantasma to create a thought-provoking installation with a new perspective on the world of surfaces. The collaboration aims to raise awareness about the importance of design beyond mere aesthetics, prioritizing ethical production processes. EARTHIC® LAB installation will be an immersive journey that becomes a turning point to an innovative surface concept.

The installation will serve to the release premiere of capsule collection EARTHIC® by Silestone®XM. This series will be also the first release of Silestone®XM, new surface category - made with Cosentino’s proprietary Hybriq+ Technology®- that will distinguish the brand collections produced with a maximum of 10% crystalline silica content.

The venue selected is not accidental. Within the historic walls of Teatro Gerolamo, EARTHIC® will unfold its transformation narrative. Every surface, every element, echoes the historical significance of this venue, creating an installation that transcends time, a dialogue between the past and the future where sustainability will be the main character.

COSENTINO BOOTH / S.PROJECT – Salone del Mobile 2024

 Cosentino will be also at S.Project (Hall 3 - Stand E22 E24), the Salone exhibition devoted to design products and decorative and technical interior decor solutions. The 200 square meters booth will welcome the novelties of Cosentino’s main brands and showcasing its endless application possibilities from wall cladding and flooring to façades or bathroom uses.

The company debuts innovative collections across its portfolio of products in 2024, which will be previewed at the event. It’s the case of Silestone®XM Le Chic Bohème, an extension of the 2023 Le Chic collection and the first Silestone®XM collection. Also part of Silestone®XM is EARTHIC®, a new series design in collaboration with FormaFantasma, and leitmotiv of the EARTHIC® LAB installation that could be visited at Teatro Gerolamo during Fuorisalone. Finally, the stand will show also the newest 2024 series of the neutral carbon ultracompact stone Dekton®, or the most recent ones as the impressive Dekton® Ukiyo.

Proving the versatility of Cosentino's products, several habitat and design brands, Kitchen and Bath fabricators or home appliances companies will exhibit Silestone®, Dekton® and Sensa by Cosentino® applications in their respective stands. Such is the case of Stosa, Doimo Cucine, Vezzdesign, or Officine Fanesi at EuroCucina; and Bizzotto Italia, Vela Arredamenti or Isimar at Salone internazionale del Mobile, among others.

COSENTINO CITY MILANO

Located close to the city centre in Piazza Fontana 6, Cosentino City Milano is a space entirely dedicated to the architecture and design community and will once again be the meeting point for the media, as well as Cosentino’s clients and collaborators from all over the world. The City will present a dynamic programme of several events.

On Tuesday, 16 at 7.30 pm, the City team will host an exclusive showcooking with Influencers. For its part, at Wednesday 17 will return a new edition of the “Let's Design” contest, an initiative promoted by Cosentino Italy aimed at interior designers and architects of all ages and nationalities operating in the country to deepen the issues related to the transformation of the home spaces. At 7.00 pm will take place the Press event for contest prototypes.

Within Milano Design Week, Cosentino City will celebrate a new “Design Talk” conference with the participation of ItalianBark, an Italian interior design studio and trend lab, and the Scandinavian designer Trendstefan. The City agenda is finally completed with several events for clients and collaborators from countries such as Australia or Japan among others.
