Regina Sturrock Design Inc. | Silestone Calacatta Gold
A MODERN CHATEAUX WITH CALACATTA GOLD
We used Cosentino products throughout the home that would not only tie in with the green build strategies but also with our clean-lined approach to the aesthetic layering. The modern classic kitchen is a real showstopper. It has a tailoring in the millwork and architectural envelope that allows for dramatic statements. We used Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold on counters and as a beautiful grounding for our couture matte black rangehood. I personally love this stone for its subtleties in veining and coloring. It sits back quietly within an unfettered space but also shows its beauty through its core values of sustainability and high-performance.
Art translated into product development
Sustainability is key to a healthy home
Holistic is indeed the word when we design on the mandate of a healthy home. We consider the mechanical elements that will provide clean air free from allergens and toxins, energy efficiency and an air-tight homes, and products that support sustainability. We also consider quality, uniqueness, suitability, and performance, and on an aesthetic level, products that offer a timeless appeal to marry with the classical sensibilities of the architecture.

A passion for Dekton
The most popular in our firm is the Korus, a just right gray that blends into almost any scheme. I predominantly use the more understated options and usually in a matte finish. We framed an amazing art piece of natural Onyx with the Dekton Korus on the wet bar wall in a lounge and continued the Dekton as part of a floating counter. It’s one of my favorite features in the home.
