Cosentino returns to its Strategic Convention promoting the commitment to sustainability
The multinational brings together almost 120 of its main executives, from all the countries where it operates, to discuss and analyze the future of the company.
Evaluation and conclusions for 2022 but, above all, a global look to the future of the company. This has been the essence of the C·Executive 2022 Conference, in which the Spanish multinational has brought together almost 120 of its main executives from 40 countries on five continents where the company has its own subsidiaries.
From Singapore, Australia or South Africa, to managers for Canada, Latin America or the Nordic countries, among many others, Cosentino executives from around the world have come together in Malaga these days, recovering the spirit of the annual strategic conferences, which last edition had place four years ago. With an updated format, C·Executive 2022 has presented an agenda full of team activities, strategic workshops and presentations.
Under the claim "Together Towards Tomorrow", the company's leaders have provided their insights on the evolution of post-pandemic markets, in which Cosentino brands continue to grow thanks to the diversification of applications, going from kitchen worktops to building façades, interior and exterior flooring, furniture or new solutions in bathroom spaces. Dekton®, with a third production line already operative this year, is confirmed as the spearhead of Cosentino's commercial growth in all markets in 2023.
The conferences has also been enriched with the participation of relevant external speakers such as Fuencisla Clemares, CEO of Google Spain and Portugal; the Spanish psychiatrist and writer Marian Rojas Estapé, who captivated the attendees with her experience on what she calls " vitamin people”, and the sustainability expert Alberto Andreu.
Precisely, sustainability has been an essential axis of these sessions, highlighting important advances that the company has made at its headquarters in Cantoria (Almería), with the start-up, in example, of the photovoltaic solar park for self-consumption that it is already generating the equivalent of 15% of the electricity consumption of the company's industrial park. Likewise, the achievement of the Level B environmental qualification of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) was announced, which makes Cosentino the only company in its sector in Spain, and also the leader in Europe, to achieve this certification.
For its part, the growth registered in the last four years has translated into an increase of more than 2,000 new employees at the Group, consolidating Cosentino as an employer brand and leading company in the sector. By the end of this year, Cosentino Group will have a total of 6,000 employees.
Francisco Martínez-Cosentino Justo, President of the Cosentino Group, inaugurated the conferences with a review of the most outstanding milestones of this year. Likewise, he outlined the scenario for next year, pointing out that "the diversification of markets and applications, the development of more sustainable products, designs adapted to global markets, and cutting-edge logistics and commercial efficiency, make us a more solid and prepared company to face significant sales growth in the coming years. In any case, it’s our people and our teams what continues to make us unique in order to achieve the objectives that we will face both next year and in the long term”.
