Cosentino Expands Reimagined Global Showroom Experience with Grand Re-Opening of Manhattan City Center

Cosentino, the Spanish world leader in the production and distribution of innovative and sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, announces the re-opening of its Manhattan City Center – fully revamped and renovated in keeping with the brand’s new, next-gen showroom experience.

Located in New York City’s iconic A&D Building, the Manhattan City Center opened its doors in 2015 as the first showroom of its kind for the brand in North America. After a $1 million investment, the 4,000 square-foot space has been completely reimagined – transforming how the manufacturer inspires and serves both New York City’s global design community and homeowners alike.

“When we first established our showroom footprint in New York City seven years ago, it was a pivotal milestone for the company,” says Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino NA and EVP of Global Sales. “While this revamped space starts an even more exciting chapter, it reflects what will always be inherent to Cosentino’s DNA: Our tireless commitment to evolve and innovate so that we may better serve our customers.” For the new Manhattan City Center and the seven others of its kind around the world, it means embracing a more holistic and highly immersive “phygital” approach to inspire and guide the design process.

This new approach is embodied in the City Center’s luminary and anchor – an Atelier, a design workshop that gives guests access to Cosentino’s full product offering and an expansive selection of globally and locally sourced textiles, tile, cabinetry samples and design fixtures -- carefully curated in collaboration with the City Center staff who serve as design consultants. Inspiration manifests in mood board form at the Atelier, providing guests with a tactile and sensory experience unlike any other.

Cosentino’s new City Center concept also includes an augmented reality digital experience where guests can create kitchen or bath spaces using Cosentino materials or products of their choosing. Another digital area allows clients to create façade mock-ups, while the to-scale full-slab digital display provides visitors high-definition views of veining, color and detail. True to the Cosentino family’s hospitality, the City Center also features a full, functioning kitchen where small dinners and networking cocktails can be hosted, as well as coworking-inspired networking corners where designers can work, host clients, and more.

“Bringing our new City Center Concept to the A&D Building – an industry cornerstone beloved by both New York’s architects, designers, as well as design enthusiasts is an incredibly proud moment,” Cosentino says. “While the past two years have been a catalyst for so many advancements in the digital space, there are certain elements of our industry that will always demand in-person connection and the ability to touch and feel. We’re confident the City Center’s blend of high-test technology and highly tactile elements offers the very best of both, and we’re eager to further elevate how we connect and serve those in Manhattan and beyond.”

On the heels of back-to-back successful 2021 launches in Chicago and Atlanta, Cosentino has plans to expand the new City Center concept to Washington, D.C. this fall, and globally with new locations in Tokyo, Singapore, Stockholm, Paris, and Mallorca.

The Manhattan Cosentino City Center is located at 150 E 58th St, New York, NY 10155 and will be open to consumers and design professionals Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (212) 644-2766.
