Silent Mode by Paladino Rudd Interior Design showcases the versatility of C.Bath, Cosentino’s bathroom solutions

Step into Silent Mode, a jaw-dropping bathroom space designed by Paladino Rudd Interior Design for the 2023 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. Featuring Dekton Rem as far as the eye can see, this space embodies the essence of C.Bath, Cosentino's comprehensive bathroom solutions.

Welcome to the epitome of relaxation and self care: Silent Mode by Paladino Rudd Interior Design. The space embodies C.Bath, Cosentino’s vision for a comprehensive, experience-oriented bath space. It was designed by the powerhouse design duo, Allison Paladino and Zita Rudd, for the sixth annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. 

The master bath, featuring Dekton Rem from head to toe, invites you to turn off your phone and focus on well-being. “When approaching a project that has to do with construction, we take an architectural approach,” said Paladino “With this project in particular we wanted to create something architecturally beautiful”

They were struck by inspiration when visiting the Cosentino Factory and Industrial Park in Spain, where they experienced first-hand how Dekton is made and all the new products in store. Here, they discovered Dekton Rem. “That was the beginning of the Silent Mode, we knew we wanted to use Rem” Rudd added. Dekton Rem is inspired by elegant white marble, featuring an intricate design with brown and gray veining with hints of gold. The color reflects the traditional and nearly linear structure of Calacatta Lincoln. “We are classicists. Even when doing modern work, we believe in classic elements,” they expressed. Additionally, the natural look and feel of the color was exactly the aesthetic the designers were after. Dekton’s large format added another layer of value, allowing the design to have fewer grout lines and create an impressive and seamless look.

The space is a true testament to the versatility of Dekton, used by the designers in many different applications. If you look down you can see Dekton as the floor of the space, but move your gaze upwards and you will see it as the vanity top and backsplash framing the mirrors, as well as the shower wall and tub surround. The integrated sink is also made of the same material with an infinity drain, further adding to that monolithic and elegant feel. 

“The room was clean and simple, but with a keen eye for detail,” shared Paladino and Rudd, details which could be appreciated in the ceiling troths, lighted shower niche, and ochre hand-blown glass fixtures. Just when you thought things couldn’t get more spa-like, in comes a blue velvet banquette in the center of the room. The tactile piece served as a centerpiece for people to have a seat and relax while also giving the space swank and color.

In addition to Cosentino, Paladino Rudd Interior Design worked with other incredible partners to bring their vision to life. Silent Mode featured Kohler fixtures, Ricci Studio Wallpaper, cabinetwork by RG Woodworks, and pieces from Sutherland Furniture Showroom. “Silent Mode is a sanctuary to relax, flip through a magazine, or take a warm bubble bath,” said the pair, “and Dekton Rem was key in the vision. No one could believe the surface was man-made!”

C.Bath is a new bathroom experience by Cosentino providing a comprehensive approach to reimagining the bathroom space through design and technology.
