Formats and Thicknesses
Dekton has a wide variety of formats thanks to its 3,200 x 1,440 dimensions. In the case of interior cladding, there are no limitations regarding format, although we recommend the following if you need to cut the material, in order to improve its use:
We recommend low thicknesses for this application to reduce the weight of the pieces, improve handling and reduce installation times.

Joints
The placement joints are an essential component for the quality, durability and aesthetics of a surface.
A joint of 2 mm is recommended for interiors, always respecting structural joints, or joints for expansion or movement of the building.
The stability of the supports, the environmental conditions, the requirements for use and the properties of the selected grouts and sealing materials will be of great importance for the design of the joint.
Edges
Pillars
Dekton can add a special touch to a design by adapting to the existing structure and providing solutions for areas with complex geometries. A good example is pillars; when covered with the material you can leave the decorated edges of the Dekton visible.
Baseboards
Dekton can be manufactured in strips to create a skirting board that gives continuity to the surface, respecting the aesthetics of the floor and also providing the same technical characteristics and maintenance to this piece.
Adhesives
The choice of adhesive is determined according to the placement support and the use.

Installation

Maintenance
Thanks to the almost zero porosity of the material, Dekton can be maintained with a damp cloth to remove traces of dust.
It is recommended to carry out a final intensive cleaning of the works to remove any remains of the materials used in the installation, such as adhesives or grouting material.
