Cosentino Recognizes the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen and Bath Association as “Friends of Spain” during the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony

Cosentino recognized the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) as “Friends of Spain” on July 18 in New York City during an awards ceremony sponsored by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, and the Leading Brands of Spain Forum. This event concluded the “Spain Business Global,” which took place at The New York Metropolitan Club. On July 19, the headquarters of PwC in New York City will host the Spain Economic Conference, where Cosentino will participate in the program as a panelist.

Those in attendance at the awards ceremony included Irene Lozano, Spanish Secretary of State for Global Spain; Santiago Cabanas, Spain Ambassador to the USA; José Luis Bonet, President of the Spain Chamber of Commerce; Alan Solomont, President of the Spain-USA Chamber of Commerce; and Ignacio Osborne, President of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum. Santiago Alfonso, Cosentino Marketing and Communication Vice President represented the Cosentino Group at the event

The Leading Brands of Spain Forum, a public-private institution supported by the Spanish Government, has recognized foreign individuals and entities for their support of Spain with the Friends of Spain Awards. The awards honor a special group of individuals and entities who have shown great support and dedication towards furthering the positive image of Spain in the United States. This year’s event is the eleventh annual edition of the ceremony, which has previously taken place in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Moscow, Brussels, and Paris.

Cosentino Group, as a member of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, as well as one of the prominent Spanish companies in the US, recognized ASID and NKBA as “Friends of Spain” award winners. Represented by ASID President, BJ Miller, General Director, Kerrie Kelly, Kitchen and Bath Association Vice President, Suzie Williford, and Board of Directors member Neil Bailey, these organizations represent two of the most important companies in the country linked to the industries of design and renovation.

Senator Tim Kaine, member of the Democratic Party and ex-Governor of Virginia, and Stephen Ross, businessman and philanthropist responsible for the development of Hudson Yards and the TV channel HBO, among other accolades, were also acknowledged for their relationship and support for Spain and Spanish brands.

Cosentino’s involvement in these events will culminate with the Spain Economic Conference. Cosentino Marketing and Communication Vice President, Santiago Alfonso, will participate in a panel debate over the current role of Spanish companies in a global context. Marketing Director of Iberia, Gemma Juncá, and President of Osborne Group and President of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, Ignacio Osborne, will also join the debate.

The conference will end with a networking session and informal lunch organized for all of the speakers, directors, and patrons of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum at the already iconic Mercado Little Spain. The project, led by José Andrés in collaboration with the Adriá brothers, honors the Brand of Spain and displays the collaboration of Cosentino Group as a key partner in the interior design of this market, located in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards.
