Silestone and Dekton take center stage in Laura Umansky’s Mountain Lane Show House

The fully renovated Mountain Lane Show House by Laura U Design Collective showcases the versatility of Silestone and Dekton, used in various applications throughout this Colorado home.

Step inside the Mountain Lane Show House, a reimagined 1995 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley. Laura U Design Collective, at the helm of Founder & CEO Laura Umansky, completely transformed this home into a beautiful and functional space for Umansky and her family.

Cosentino was a proud partner, providing surfacing solutions for the first show house experience hosted in this prime Colorado location. “Cosentino creates the world’s most beautiful surfaces,” Laura shared, “I cannot say enough good things about them.”

Join us as we take a tour around the spacious home and discover just how Cosentino surfaces helped bring Laura and Creative Director Gina Elkin’s creative vision to life.

Silestone Ethereal Haze kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and as a mom of 9-year-old twins Laura wanted something elegant, beautiful, and above all, resistant. When selecting kitchen surfaces, Laura looked for something “heavy-duty, good looking, and high performing” and that’s where Silestone comes in.

Silestone Ethereal Haze from the new Ethereal Collection was specified for the kitchen countertops and backsplash. This color features a play of gray gradients on a pristine white canvas, a beautiful complement to gold shades such as the hob.

Ethereal Haze’s marble-inspired pattern perfectly aligns with Laura’s creative vision, which aimed to marry the natural beauty of Colorado with the urban luxury that makes Aspen Snowmass a coveted destination.

“I don’t have to worry about spilling wine or coffee or my kids eating on these surfaces because they are hearty,” she said, “we use a lot of Silestone because this composite can hold up to anything.”

Dekton Kelya fireplace hearth

As you step into the great room, the fireplace takes center stage. This space is a key player in the house, where the family spends quality time enjoying the jaw-dropping views of Independence Pass, the highest point in the Continental US.

This imposing linear fireplace has a nook and hearth made of Dekton Kelya, black color with subtle veining inspired by dark natural marbles. This moody shade perfectly complements the aesthetic of the great room which features plaster walls in an urbane bronze color that is also present throughout the entire home.

Silestone Statuario vanity tops

Right off the dark but soothing master bedroom sits the primary bathroom, featuring Silestone Statuario vanity tops which “blend perfectly with all the finishes in the space.”

Statuario is inspired by classic Italian Carrara marble, with a white surface and soft, sparkling, subtle veins in shades of gray. This neutral yet unique color is the perfect complement to the gold fixtures and accents throughout the space.
