This “City”, with a total investment of €1.5 million, is the 5th of the company in the United States and the 16th globally.
Leaders from Chicago’s architecture and design community celebrated yesterday the opening with Silestone® brand ambassador Cindy Crawford as the guest of honor.
The company consolidates its presence in the North American region, where it already has almost 70 own facilities.
Cosentino Group, global leader company in the production and distribution of surfaces for architecture and design, expands its “Citys” network – state of the art showroom located in the heart of the main cities worldwide- with the Chicago City opening. It’s the fifth showroom location that the company has in the United States - after New York, San Francisco, Miami and Los Angeles - and the sixteenth globally. Also Chicago supposes the expansion of the revamped next-generation “Cosentino City” concept to North America.
This new “City” has almost 500 square meters and has involved a total investment of close to € 1.5 million. The Chicago City showroom is located at 217 West Illinois Street, within the River North Gallery District, epicenter of the world of design and arts in the city. Created for professionals and homeowners alike, the revamped new “City” concept transforms the showroom experience serving as a holistic design hub with highly immersive tools to aid in the sourcing process.
This comes to life in the Atelier -a design workshop and luminary of the reimagined Cosentino City experience-, where guests have access to Cosentino’s full product offering and an expansive selection of globally and locally sourced textiles, tile, cabinetry samples and plumbing fixtures. Also among the revamped elements of the 2.0 City highlights an augmented reality digital experience, where guests can fully design a kitchen or bath space; to-scale full-slab digital displays, or a full, functioning kitchen, where small dinners and networking cocktails can be hosted.

Last night in the heart of Chicago’s Design District, Cosentino hosted leaders from Chicago’s architecture and design community for the grand opening of its new City – the first-ever reinvented showroom experience in North America- with the attendance of Silestone® brand ambassador Cindy Crawford as the guest of honor.
The event’s guests enjoyed an intimate conversation and audience Q&A with supermodel and Silestone® brand ambassador, who discussed what she loves most about her hometown of Chicago, the intersection of the worlds of fashion, design and culinary, and much more. To help celebrate her homecoming, Chicago-based Michelin Star Chef Carlos Gaytán of Tzuco, one of Chicago’s hottest restaurants, delighted the fashion icon and attendees with a lively cooking demonstration.

With this opening, and those planned for the next few months, the company consolidates its presence and capillarity in the North American market, counting on the widest commercial and distribution network reached by a company within its sector in this region. This is possible thanks to almost 70 own facilities spread throughout the United States and Canada.
This evolution in terms of logistics and service excellence will continue in the short term with new investments and openings, especially focused on expanding the 2.0 “City” model. Next October a new showroom will start in Atlanta, which is added to the complete remodeling already carried out of the Manhattan City and coming new showrooms in Washington and Vancouver.
