What was the main challenge of the Lakeside Bank facade?

Lakeside Bank was an extremely customized facade and Stone Systems’ first 3D facade at the time. There were a lot of technical details we needed to keep in mind to execute this project perfectly. Weekly meetings with the architect to review every single detail were key in keeping the project running smoothly and on schedule.

How did Stone Systems innovate to tackle these challenges?

This was the first Dekton ventilated facade for the architect and general contractor working on Lakeside Bank. As certified and expert Dekton installers, we at Stone Systems wanted to ensure we were there every step of the way to support them and answer any questions regarding the material. Lakeside Bank was a true partnership from day one, which ensured an impeccable execution.

What makes Stone Systems a unique installer?

At Stone Systems, we are equipped to offer technical support on the engineering front and expertise on the material itself, with materials such as Dekton, for instance. Both components are key and must be executed in a precise way by experienced professionals

What makes Dekton the perfect material to install for facades?

We are confident in working with Dekton, especially for facade applications. For facades, the material used must be durable, compliant with all codes regarding weather fluctuations, impact, and staining while also maintaining stability and the flatness of the facade between tile and tile, and Dekton does just that.

Where do you see the future of the facades industry?

In recent years we have witnessed how the facades market, led by architects, is modernizing. We are seeing increasing interest in materials such as Dekton for ventilated facades. Facades are seen as a way to add value to the structure in terms of protection with a modern look that allows them to create any design, texture, or color. In the past, there were a lot more limitations to give constructions an exclusive and unique look.

Anything else you’d like to add

It is a very exciting time to be in the facades industry, it is the beginning of the future and I'm proud to be part of a company that is helping bring to life these exciting projects.
